Yvonne was born in Uganda but grew up in Rwanda, where she says she found her passion for education and working with children. “I have a strong interest in history, geography, and economics, subjects that help us understand the world we live in and prepare us for the future. l enjoy learning about different cultures and how they shape our societies. One of my greatest joys in life is spending time with children. l feel truly blessed to work with them. They bring so much joy and energy into the world.” Yvonne adds, “my favorite color is pink, it’s cheerful and up-lifting. It embodies positivity, and l like to surround myself with things that bring happiness. As l reflect on my dreams, l aspire to make a meaningful impact in my community, especially in education. I want to inspire young learners to pursue their passions and believe in themselves.” We thank Yvonne for managing the shipping container we turned into a children center at the Musanze hospital.
